An exploration of fading snow landscapes, shifting expectations, and the role of fashion in times of environmental transformation.
“The mountains are calling” — a phrase that traditionally evokes adventure, freedom, and snow-covered landscapes. This project reinterprets that call: not only as an invitation to explore, but also as a call for climate awareness and action.
Developed during a period of rising temperatures and pandemic-fueled shifts in outdoor behavior, the collection reflects the growing conflict between climate protection and winter tourism. While many seek connection with nature, artificial environments continue to replace real ones.
The result: a virtual winter sportswear concept rooted in environmental awareness and emotional design.
Inspired by aerial views of mountainous terrain, the collection uses abstraction to visualize snow and ice decline caused by climate change.
The concept transforms topography into textile — turning environmental erosion into visible, wearable language.
The collection combines functionality with intention — using textiles that support movement, comfort, and awareness:
Designed with a focus on outdoor performance, the garments address key needs: freedom of movement, thermal protection for extremities and kidneys, breathability, and visibility in variable winter conditions.
